2008 - Kathmandu
Participants
Number: 50 runners
Youngest: 16 years old
Oldest: 29 years old
1st Man: John Dangol
1st Lady: Asmita Basnet
One of our teens said, "It's great for us to run and pray for people whom we do not even know. We feel we can do something for others, though most of the times others do things for us."
This teen's name is Pranesh. He was suffering from disfunctioning kidneys, still he said "I want to run for the world." Surprisingly, he finished the route without any problems. It was a witness to all the participants!
Summary
It was great to run for needy people and for God's ministry, and also to be a part of the R4TW. Though we could not raise funds for them, we hope our prayers will be heard by God who is watching us. All these teens were so much excited. They ran, talked, and shared. John Dangol finished first, and from the girls side, Asmita Basnet, was the first girl finisher. They were so happy. Pranesh, who had kidney disfunction a few days before he ran, surprisingly came to run and he completed this run without any problems. We actually wanted him to take a rest and not to run, but when he came saying nothing will happen we were very encouraged.
